Rental terms
- Reservations by phone are mandatory at all times (1-877-867-1660 or 1-418-867-1660) between 8:30 am and 4:00 pm. STARTING ON 18 MARCH 2026.
- Minimum stay of two nights.
- Maximum of two persons per room.
- Only one rate for CHILD and ADULT. Children under 10 are not accepted except if you reserve the whole Auberge.
- Unless otherwise indicated, you can take possesion of your room at 2 pm and must vacate it at 11 am.
- The full payment must be made when completing reservation.
- Only one credit card is accepted per reservation.
Package includes
- Round-trip boat crossing from Rivière-du-Loup.
- Three meals for every 24-hour stay (in rare occasions, tides impose longer or shorter stays; rates will then be adjusted according to extra or untaken meals).
Dining room and allergy management
- Dining room is opened according to a schedule.
- Each night, a choice between two tables d’hôte of four services. See the 2025 menu.
- If you or someone in your reservation has allergies, food intolerances or special dietary requirements, you need to consult our dietary restrictions policy in order to validate your eligibility. Given the operational challenges associated with an island inn, it is unfortunately impossible for us to modify our menus to accommodate all diets or dietary restrictions. You need to provide all relevant information at the time of booking, failing which your reservation could be cancelled.
- We also offer a selection of wines which is regularly updated.
- For lunch, we will prepare a picnic so that you can explore the island without having to come back to the Auberge.
- Outside opening hours, you may take a light snack, coffee or beer at La Grande Course Cafe near the wharf.
Cancellation and refund policy
- Cancellations made 7 days or less after booking will receive 100% refund less a $35 fee (plus taxes).
- Cancellations made 15 days or more in advance of the location of a room at the Auberge will receive a 50% refund.
- Cancellations made less than 15 days in advance of the location will not be refunded.
- Modification made 7 days or less after booking and that does not affect the value of a contract (ex. dates) is accepted with no charge. Otherwise, a $20 fee (plus taxes) is charged.
- Modification that upgrades the value of a contract (ex. addition of visitors, prolongation of the stay) is accepted without charge depending on availability.
- Modification that reduces the value of a contract (ex. partial cancellation) is treated according to the cancellation and refund policy.
- Clients who decided by themselves to leave earlier or to shorten their stay will not be refunded nor offered a credit.
General terms
- All indoor areas are NO SMOKING.
- The boat crossing schedule varies according to the tides. Exact departure and return times will be provided when you make reservations.
- A maximum of 2 items of luggage per person is allowed on the boat.
- Gathering fruit is prohibited, except for immediate consumption.
- Disturbing the wildlife and fishing are prohibited.
- Biking is not allowed on Île aux Lièvres. We can store your bike at Rivière-du-Loup during your stay.
- Pets are not allowed.
- All guests must observe a curfew and code of ethics.
- Sea kayaking from or around Île aux Lièvres is not allowed.
- Open fires on the beach are not allowed.
- Certain electrical items are prohibited on the island due to our solar system (hair dryers, projectors, flat irons, etc.), please consult the General information section for more details.
